The program is located on the campus of Ulster County Community College and is based on the Boston University model. The program is rooted in the psychiatric rehabilitation philosophy and participants are encouraged to think of themselves as students rather than mental health clients. The ACES coordinator continues the college prepatory program designed by Boston University, called Discovering the Way. this program is specifically aimed at helping people with disabilities and/or addictions prepare to resume the educational process.
