COPING SKILLS PROGRAM

In 2001, the administration of the Mental Health Association recognized the Twentieth anniversary of this CSS program. The program includes the Coping Skills program out of the Center as well as the Southern Ulster Coping Skills program, funded through Reinvestment moneys. Currently there are 145 active members in the CSS and reinvestment funded programs, all were referred by their primary therapists and are CSS eligible. Therapeutic recreation, socialization and education opportunities in community living skills are offered Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Staff provided interventions to 40% of the participants in realizing their individual goal plans
