MENTAL HEALTH RN
The Mental Health Association in Ulster County is seeking full-time Registered Nurse to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The ACT team provides intensive mental health treatment, in a multi-disciplinary mobile team model, to 48 adults in Ulster County with a diagnosis of serious mental illness, and possible substance abuse problems. This position is primarily Monday-Friday, 9a.m.-5p.m. Rotating call coverage is required. The nurse will conduct psychosocial assessments; assess physical health needs; make appropriate medical referrals; provide management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist. Qualifications are a current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse, experience in Mental Health nursing required, and a clean, valid NYS driver’s license and have been driving for 3 years.

INDIVIDUAL CARE COORDINATOR (ICC)
We are seeking a detailed oriented person to provide Intensive individual care coordination services to a small caseload of 6 youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families in Ulster County. Responsibilities include: Case management, intakes, screenings, assessment of needs, service plan development, in-home crisis interventions, linking children/families to services, advocacy, monitoring. Position requires participation in a rotating 24-hr on-call. Extensive travel within county is required. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in one of the following fields: audiology, child and family studies, communication disorders, community mental health, counseling, education, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, recreation, recreation therapy, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, or speech and language pathology, human services, human development, criminal justice or other related degrees, or a NYS Teacher’s Certificate, and two years experience* providing direct services for children with one or more of the following primary diagnoses: mental illness, mental retardation, alcoholism, chemical dependency or substance abuse or a Bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields, or a NYS Teacher’s Certificate, and four years experience* providing direct services, or providing linkage to services, for children with one or more of the following primary diagnoses: mental illness, mental retardation, alcoholism, chemical dependency or substance abuse. *Qualifying experience may be pre- or post- degree. Knowledge of the local human services delivery system highly desirable.

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
Full time HR position for a self-motivated, conscientious, well organized individual to do recruitment and interviewing, conduct new employee orientations and trainings, maintain Affirmative Action Program, assist with bi-weekly payroll, benefit enrollments and billing. In
addition, maintaining record retention requirements, sending correspondence to applicants, tracking employee trainings and other
 Human Resources related functions. Skills required in Microsoft Excel and Word for Windows. Ideal candidate would have payroll experience, be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, a Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years
experience in Human Resources.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR (Home and Community Based Waiver)
Full time position for experienced mental health professional in the MHA in Ulster County, Inc. Oneonta, NY satellite office leading the Home & Community Based Waiver Services Program. The Program serves 30 children and their families in three counties of Chenango, Delaware and Otsego. Services are provided to families & children living in their home. The Program Director is responsible for: supervision of all Individual Care Coordinators (ICC) and other HCBW staff; management of all services provided to the children and families; overseeing fiscal management of the program; working with the three county mental health and DSS personnel to coordinate all aspects of the program; development and monitoring of the network system of services to ensure as much choice as possible. Candidate must be familiar with medicaid billing, quality assurance, incident review, corporate compliance and HIPAA regulations. A Master's Degree or a Bachelors Degree in a related field and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in programs related to case management. In addition, candidate must have a clean, valid, NYS driver’s license and have been driving for three years.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT-Administration/Family & Youth
Full time position (35 hours per week) available for a dependable, responsible and flexible person to provide Administrative Assistant duties to the Agency’s administrative staff and our Family and Youth Department. Position involves working with the CEO and the Board of Directors. Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining database; taking minutes; typing corespondence; providing coverage for reception desk; coordinating bulk mailings and managing incoming calls. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills essential. General clerical skills and experience with Microsoft Office 07 package including Word, Excel and Publisher necessary. Position requires an organized, detailed person who can handle multiple projects in a busy office setting. Knowledge of Ulster County businesses and human services a plus. Associates degree in related field with two years experience or four years of relevant experience required. Must have a clean, valid NYS Drivers License and have been driving for at least three years.

RESIDENCE COUNSELOR-Locust Street Residential Program
MHA in Ulster County, Inc. has a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position available in a residential program working with adults recovering from mental illness who may also have substance abuse problems. Residence Counselors provide case management services, teach life skills, and prepare individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues to live more independently in the community. Position schedule is a four day work week: Saturday, Monday-Wednesday,12:00noon.-10:00p.m. Interested candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma and a clean, valid NYS driver’s license and have been driving for at least 3 years. Prior experience with this population is a plus. 

RESIDENCE COUSELOR-HUD/SUPPORTED HOUSING PROGRAMS
Full-time position (37.5 hrs/week) includes working within two residential programs, the HUD funded permanent supportive apartment program and Supported Housing program. Responsibilties for the HUD program include assisting six consumers in completing activities of daily living, including cleaning and other household chores, cooking, banking, laundry and grocery shopping, supervising medication administration, and facilitating activities. Responsibilities for Supported Housing program include providing case management services for individuals, in their homes, throughout Ulster County. Advocating and liaison skills are essential and paperwork is required. This position includes Tuesday-Saturday hours. Applicants must be able to work independently, possess a clean, valid NYS Driver’s License and have been driving for at least 3 years, and a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience with this population is a plus.

FAMILY SPECIALIST (Harbour Light Program)
Full time position in Ulster County, working in a therapeutic foster care program coordinating the planning & treatment for 6 youth, as well as consulting with Teaching Foster Parents on an ongoing basis & advocating for the youth with community agencies & schools. Bachelor’s degree in a human service field, experience working with children, a clean valid NYS driver’s license, and being on-call are required.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR-FAMILY BASED TREATMENT PROGRAM
MHA in Ulster County is seeking a full-time Director for The Harbour Program, working out of the Walton, NY office. The Progam serves 20 children in four counties with severe emotional, social and behavioral disabilities, providing therapeutic Family Based Treatment, respite and family support services. Director is responsible for all aspects of the program, including public relations, interagency coordination, program development, program budget, overseeing medicaid billing, staff supervision, quality assurance, preparation of all reports, etc. Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service related field required. A minimum of three years experience in Mental Health management and staff supervision essential. Must have clean, valid NYS Drivers License and have been driving for at least three years.

REGISTERED NURSE/MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (Per diem)-ACT Team
A challenging per diem position available as part of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program. The ACT team will provide intensive mental health treatment, in a multi-disciplinary mobile team model, to 48 adults with a diagnosis of serious mental illness, and possible substance abuse problems. The adults will be seen in community settings, such as their homes. Responsibilities include, assisting individuals with medical, psychiatric, social, educational, legal, housing, and financial services. Additional duties include crisis intervention and stabilization. Qualifications are a master’s degree or higher in: social work, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, occupational therapy, or a RN. Candidates must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license and have been driving for at least 3 years.

ADULT RESIDENCE COUNSELOR (On-Call)
MHA in Ulster County, Inc. has several on-call positions available in residential programs working with adults recovering from mental illness who may also have substance abuse problems. Residence Counselors provide support and guidance, teach life skills, and prepare individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues to live more independently in the community. Prior experience with this population is a plus. Position requires a clean, valid NYS driver’s license and have been driving for at least 3 years.
