First Step III
Educate and support persons who are beginning to explore impacts of substance abuse on their mental illness and quality of life.
For ages 18 and up. Must be in treatment at Ulster County Mental Health Department; Major Psychiatric Dx and evidence of substance abuse/dependence. Must be willing to address issues of abstinence.
10-12 participants.

MICA Study Group
To provide support, psycho education, relapse prevention skills for clients with major mental illness and substance abuse issues.At least 6 months sobriety, must be in treatment at UCMHD.
10 - 12 participants.

Adolescent ED Eval Group
This group focuses on coping skills/decision making processes around substance abuse, interpersonal and familial issues.

Chemical Dependency Day Treatment Program/Chemical Dependency Outpatient Rehab
Intensive outpatient rehabilitation to assist clients who have progressed addiction gain assistance and reclaim their lives from the ravages of addiction. The Chemical Dependency Day Treatment Program addresses the mental, emotional, physical social & spiritual needs of additional persons in an effort to promote and maintain abstinence in early recovery and relapse prevention in later recovery.
Coed 18 yrs and up. Must be UC resident Exclusions: Serious & persistent mental illness. Up to 26 participants.

Enhanced Treatment Group
To bring about awareness of stressors that may encourage substance use. Remain clean and sober; develop skills to cope with stressors; the development of a safe and sober network (recovery meetings); maintain a stable mood.
18 and up - Coed. Up to 15 participants.

CORE: Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program
Core is an outpatient substance abuse treatment program that assists individuals with a substance abuse problem gain abstinence and improve their life situations.
Coed – 18 and up. Must be an Ulster County resident. 20 - 30 participants.
Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday - 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM; 8 – 14 week treatment program.

PRIDE: Parental Recovery Intensive Diversion Effort
Is an intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program designed specifically for women. Goals are to assist women who have problems with substance abuse to gain abstinence in a safe and structured environment with other women. This is a structured group treatment program that offers child care, individual treatment and psychiatric evaluation if needed.
Coed – 18 and up. Must be an Ulster County resident. 20 - 25 participants.

CDEIP: Chemical Dependency Evening Intensive Program
Is an intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program designed specifically for individuals who are substance involved (drug & alcohol) and who have been able to maintain employment. Goals are to assist members gain abstinence from drugs & alcohol; develop necessary skills to maintain abstinence; while at the same time maintain their employment in the community.
Must be employed or going to school during day. Must be an Ulster County resident. 50 - 60 particpants.

Psychoeducation and Evaluation – Extended Chemical Dependency Evaluation and Education
This program is an extended substance abuse evaluation to assist the individual and staff in determining if additional substance abuse tx is indicated. 8 week eval group.
Must be an Ulster County resident. Must be 18 yrs and up. 10 - 15 participants.

PHASE II – Chemical Dependency Standard Level of Care Treatment
Phase II treatment groups is a 1 x week substance abuse treatment group for individuals who have been identified as having a substance abuse problem, but do not require intensive treatment. Goals of this group are to assist participants in getting an understanding of the impact their substance abuse has on their lives and to assist them in gaining and maintaining abstinence from drugs & alcohol.
Must be an Ulster County resident. Must be 18 yrs and up. Up to 15 participants.

Relapse Prevention Group
To increase knowledge about preventing relapse from occurring or at least reducing potential. To learn relapse precipitating situations/triggers in environment and impact on recovery measures.COED.,
Clients must be clinic patients. Up to 12 participants.

Mixed Recovery
To increase knowledge about recovery related issues such as relapse triggers, etc., and to explore the impact on life circumstances. Ongoing process-recovery group.
COED., Clients must be patient of either OMH/Substance Abuse Clinic. Up to 12 participants.

Women's Group for Substance Abusers
The aim of this group is to bring women together for support and the development of skills to deal with life stressors.
Women only. Must be a client of UCMHD - Ellenville Clinic.
